I would say all except C.
A, B, D, and E are definitely right.
A and B both result from a decreased area in the alveoli to exchange CO2 for O2. Therefore, CO2 builds up (hypercapnia) in the blood, and O2 is low resulting in hypoxia. Hypercapnia is also associated with decreased ability to exhale the CO2 because elastic fibers are destroyed and they usually play an important role in exhaling.
D. Because elastic fibers are destroyed, they cannot hold the alveoli in their grape-like formation, and so tons of small alveoli essentially turn into 1 big alveolus which has a decreased surface area (D).
E is a classic sign of someone with emphysema.
C, repleneshing damaged alveoli results in fibrosis, which is not what emphysema is, so C is wrong.
